Law360 (September 13, 2019, 4:19 PM EDT) -- Japanese oil company Inpex Corp. is looking to expand in Australia, Reuters reported early Friday. Citing an interview with Hitoshi Okawa, the company’s Australian president director, the outlet reported that as part of the company’s efforts to become a regional gas powerhouse, the company could expand through acquisitions or at an Ichthys liquefied natural gas plant. According to the report, the company finished building the Ichthys project last year.
