Satellite TV Cos. Slam Broadcasters' 'Deceptive' STELAR Ads
Law360 (October 11, 2019, 7:49 PM EDT) -- A Facebook ad campaign the National Association of Broadcasters is running to drum up support for the expiration of a satellite law is "deceptive," a lobbying group for cable and satellite providers said Thursday.
The American Television Alliance, which includes heavy-hitters like AT&T, Charter Communications and Dish, said in a press release Thursday that the NAB's ads mislead viewers about what will happen if the Satellite Television Extension and Localism Act Reauthorizatoin Act, or STELAR, isn't renewed.
