Ford, Others Settle NJ Toxic Waste Case

Law360, New York (September 8, 2009, 3:19 PM EDT) -- Ford Motor Co. and two co-defendants have agreed to settle a lawsuit over dumped toxic waste in northern New Jersey that allegedly caused cancer and other serious illnesses.

Judge Brian R. Martinotti of the state Superior Court in Passaic County announced the settlement Thursday at a hearing. The terms of the deal were confidential, but The Record reported that roughly $10 million would change hands.
