Abertis, Autostrade File Appeals Over Merger Obstacles

Law360 (October 20, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Spanish infrastructure company Abertis Infraestructuras SA and Italian highway operator Autostrade SpA lashed out at the Italian government’s efforts to block their proposed €25 billion merger, filing appeals Thursday with the European Union and Italy that call into question Italy's plans to modify license terms for toll roads operated by Autostrade.
