Blackwater, Insurers Stay Iraq Death Coverage Suit

Law360, New York (September 10, 2009, 3:40 PM EDT) -- Blackwater Security Consulting LLC and its insurers have jointly put on hold a breach of contract suit the company filed seeking coverage in relation to a wrongful death action brought by families of Blackwater employees killed by insurgents in Fallujah, Iraq, in 2004.

Judge Petrese B. Tucker ordered the case transferred from the current case list to the civil suspense docket for a 60-day stay period following a joint request from both sides in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania Sept. 9....
