Okla. Asks For Sanctions In Tyson Poultry Waste Suit

Law360, New York (September 15, 2009, 2:38 PM EDT) -- Oklahoma has asked a federal judge to speed up consideration of a bid for sanctions against Cargill Inc. for allegedly blocking discovery in the state's suit accusing it of tainting the Illinois River watershed with poultry waste.

The state filed a motion in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma Sept. 14 seeking to expedite consideration of on its Aug. 12 motion for sanctions against Cargill and subsidiary Cargill Turkey Production Co. LLC over alleged discovery misconduct.
