Law360, New York (September 15, 2009, 5:05 PM EDT) -- Affiliates of Verizon Communications Inc. have filed an objection to bankrupt Nortel Networks International Inc.'s proposed $915 million sale of its business phone system unit to Avaya Inc., arguing that the sale would put national security at risk unless service contracts between Nortel and Verizon are retained.
