Delta Settles With Mass. AG Over Pay Schedules

Law360, New York (September 18, 2009, 7:58 PM EDT) -- Delta Air Lines Inc. will pay $35,000 to the state of Massachusetts to settle allegations that it failed to pay certain workers on a biweekly or weekly schedule, as required by Massachusetts Law.

Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley announced the settlement with Atlanta, Ga.-based Delta Friday.

The Office of the Attorney General’s Fair Labor Division said it began investigating the airline’s payment practices in January 2009 to discover if it was paying hourly non-flight crew workers such as maintenance technicians, support mechanics and customer service agents...
