Fineman Krekstein Dodges Pa. Malpractice Coverage Claims

By Matt Fair (January 9, 2020, 6:59 PM EST) -- A Pennsylvania state judge on Wednesday freed Fineman Krekstein & Harris PC from a lawsuit aimed at holding it liable for its alleged role in denying a Scranton-based personal injury firm coverage for a malpractice claim it was facing from a former client.

Judge Gary Glazer in the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas agreed that Fineman Krekstein's limited role as counsel to Minnesota Lawyers Mutual Insurance Co. meant it could not be put on the hook for a decision denying coverage to Pisanchyn Law Firm LLC over a malpractice claim being pursued by one of its clients.
