AstraZeneca Units Dropped From Pain Pump Suits

Law360, New York (September 21, 2009, 5:29 PM EDT) -- Subsidiaries of London-based AstraZeneca PLC have been dismissed from several suits alleging Stryker Corp.’s anesthetic delivery system and several companies’ injectable painkillers caused thousands of patients to suffer cartilage damage.

The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Thursday and Friday signed off on stipulations and dropped at least seven related cases against AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals LP, AstraZeneca LP and Zeneca Holdings Inc.
