Gen Re, AIG Ex-Execs Bury Hatchet With SEC

Law360, New York (September 28, 2009, 1:35 PM EDT) -- Four former General Reinsurance Group executives and an ex-vice president at American International Group Inc. have reached settlements with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in a civil lawsuit related to their involvement in a $500 million accounting scandal at AIG.

The final judgments against the defendants — all of whom have been sentenced to varying amounts of prison time in separate criminal proceedings — were filed Sept. 25 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
