Shaw Communications To Sell $1.15B In Senior Notes

Law360, New York (September 29, 2009, 5:04 PM EDT) -- Cable and satellite television company Shaw Communications Inc. has announced it will raise funds through the sale of 10-year senior unsecured notes valued at CA$1.25 billion ($1.15 billion).

The Calgary, Alberta-based company, which trades on the Toronto and New York stock exchanges, said Monday the proceeds of the sale would be used to buy back maturing debt and free the company up for potential acquisitions.
