Claims Trimmed In IPod Monopoly Suit Against Apple

Law360, New York (September 30, 2009, 2:38 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has partially dismissed Taiwanese MP3 player maker Luxpro Corp.'s claims accusing Apple Inc. of attempting to unlawfully monopolize the global MP3 player market through litigation and threatening letters to Luxpro's business partners.

Judge Harry F. Barnes of the U.S District Court for the Western District of Arkansas on Monday handed down an order dismissing Luxpro’s claim of attempted common law monopolization and dismissing without prejudice its interference claims regarding several companies that did business with Luxpro.
