ViaSat Snags WildBlue Communications For $568M

Law360, New York (October 1, 2009, 2:00 PM EDT) -- Satellite and networking systems producer ViaSat Inc. has announced that it will acquire privately held broadband service provider WildBlue Communications Inc. for $568 million in cash and stocks, in an effort to strengthen its place in the high-speed Internet service sector.

WildBlue shareholders and creditors are set to receive $443 million in cash and $125 million in newly issued ViaSat common stock, the companies said Thursday.
