NextEra Buys Babcock Wind Projects For $352M

Law360, New York (October 1, 2009, 3:09 PM EDT) -- NextEra Energy Resources LLC has announced it will purchase three wind projects from Babcock & Brown for a total of $352 million.

NextEra, a subsidiary of FPL Group Inc., will acquire three wind energy centers with a combined capacity of 184.5 megawatts. One of the wind energy centers, located in Carson County, Texas, has a capacity of 79.5 megawatts and sells all its energy to Southwestern Electric Power Co.
