Law360 (April 1, 2020, 11:13 PM EDT) -- Life sciences company 10x Genomics Inc. experienced a data breach and attempted ransomware attack amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the company revealed on Wednesday in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
10x Genomics, which says on its website that it has been working on products aimed at alleviating the pandemic, said it had been hit during March with "an attempted ransomware attack that also involved the theft of certain company data."
