SG To Weigh In On First-Sale Doctrine For Imports

Law360, New York (October 5, 2009, 4:20 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court has asked the solicitor general to file a brief expressing the U.S.' perspective on Costco v. Omega, a case currently awaiting the high court's cert call that asks whether imported goods made overseas can enjoy copyright first-sale doctrine protection.

Costco v. Omega was one of four cases for which the Supreme Court invited the solicitor general to file a brief in its first list of orders for the new term, handed down Monday.
