T-Mobile Sues Over Prepaid Phone Resales

Law360, New York (October 7, 2009, 2:44 PM EDT) -- T-Mobile USA Inc. has launched a trademark and breach of contract lawsuit against a company it alleges is buying T-Mobile prepaid phones in bulk, unlocking them for use on other wireless networks and selling them to consumers.

In a lawsuit filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, T-Mobile asked a judge to enjoin International Electronics Trading Co. and its owner Sagar Rijal from reselling its phones.
