Judge Opens Door To Patent Suit Against Lear

Law360, New York (October 7, 2009, 2:05 PM EDT) -- A bankruptcy judge has allowed Chamberlain Group Inc. and Johnson Controls Interiors to go ahead with a patent suit over garage door openers against car-seat maker Lear Corp.

Judge Alan L. Gropper ordered on Monday that the automatic stay be lifted to allow Chamberlain and Johnson's suit to continue in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. The one-page order did not give any reason for the decision.
