No Case Against Attys For Disgruntled Claimant: Court

Law360, New York (October 8, 2009, 5:49 PM EDT) -- A Texas appeals court has upheld rulings tossing allegations brought by a one-time workers' compensation claimant against his former attorney and an ex-Vinson & Elkins LLP lawyer who represented a defendant insurer in the 1988 settlement of the underlying case.

The Texas Court of Appeals ruled Tuesday that a state trial court had not erred in granting summary judgment to the two defendants, attorneys James Manley and Don Jackson.
