Yamaha Motor Fails To Nix Suit In Rhino MDL

Law360, New York (October 8, 2009, 1:20 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has rejected Yamaha Motor Corp. USA's attempt to escape a suit in the multidistrict product liability litigation accusing it of failing to properly warn consumers about the potential of its Rhino all-terrain vehicles to tip over during slow-speed turns.

The company had joined a motion to dismiss made by Yamaha Corp. of America, which was let out of the case because it manufactures musical instruments and had nothing to do with the motor vehicle manufacturing arms of the parent company, Judge Jennifer B....
