By Tiffany Hu (June 1, 2020, 5:19 PM EDT) -- Chrimar Systems Inc. is pressing the U.S. Supreme Court to take up its appeal over whether Patent Trial and Appeal Board invalidations can override district courts' infringement judgments, telling the high court that "patent-specific carve-outs are a reason for granting cert."
In a brief filed Friday, Chrimar urged the high court to review whether the Federal Circuit created a circuit divide on when an infringement judgment is final, saying that refusing to clarify the issue would "incentivize stonewalling of damages judgments."
