Levinson Quits Google Board Amid FTC Probe

Law360, New York (October 12, 2009, 6:12 PM EDT) -- Former Genentech CEO Dr. Arthur Levinson has stepped down as a director of Google Inc. amid the Federal Trade Commission's investigation of overlap between the boards of the Internet giant and Apple Inc.

Google announced the resignation of Levinson — an Apple director since 2000 — in a short statement on Monday, but did not disclose a reason for the move.
