Furniture Chain Workers Get Class Cert. In Wage Suit

Law360, New York (October 13, 2009, 1:03 PM EDT) -- A group of current and former employees of Furniture Bargains LLC has won conditional class certification in a suit alleging the Midwestern furniture retailer failed to pay its sales representatives the minimum wage.

Judge Michael T. Mason of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois ruled Friday that the plaintiffs could inform individuals, who worked as furniture sales representatives at Furniture Bargains from Feb. 19, 2006, to the present, of the pending litigation.
