FHFA Jumps Into Fannie Mae Litigation

Law360, New York (October 13, 2009, 7:08 PM EDT) -- Fannie Mae's conservator, the Federal Housing Finance Agency, has won its bid to intervene as a defendant in consolidated securities litigation against the government-sponsored enterprise.

Judge Paul Crotty of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York approved the agency's request in an order Tuesday after none of the parties involved in the multidistrict litigation objected to the move.
