Insurance Dispute Ends With No Clear Cut Winner

Law360, New York (October 14, 2009, 6:40 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has ordered two insurers to pay a third insurer $13 million, which will cover nearly half of a $26.5 million settlement that was reached after a truck driver collided with a stalled vehicle while driving on Route 1 in New Jersey.

Federal Insurance Co., as subrogor of an American Automobile Association Inc. member club called AAA Mid-Atlantic Inc., had filed a motion for summary judgment, seeking reimbursement for $25 million of the $26.5 million settlement.
