Dems Ask High Court To Issue Trump Doc Ruling Immediately

Law360 (July 15, 2020, 2:29 PM EDT) -- U.S. House committees seeking President Donald Trump's financial records have asked the U.S. Supreme Court to issue its judgment immediately and remand the disputes over the subpoenas to lower courts so lawmakers may litigate before the current House term expires.

On July 9, the justices voted 7-2 to vacate rulings by the Second and D.C. Circuits that upheld the House panels' subpoenas to Deutsche Bank, Capital One and Trump's longtime accounting firm Mazars USA LLP for his and his family's financial records. The cases were remanded for further proceedings.
