Barr Set To Testify In Congress Amid Wave Of Controversy

Barr is expected to come under intensive questioning from Democrats during his testimony before the House Judiciary Committee on Tuesday, as he faces scrutiny over everything from the decision to ditch the Michael Flynn case to the deployment of federal law enforcement to quell recent protests.

Barr agreed to testify following a subpoena threat from House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., who in June raised the possibility of impeaching Barr following the ousting of former Manhattan U.S. Attorney Geoffrey Berman, though House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., appears to have ruled that out for now.
