5th Circ. Revives Stax Producer's Copyright Suit

Law360, New York (October 23, 2009, 4:35 PM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has reversed a decision to throw out a former Stax Records producer's copyright infringement suit against DM Records Inc. over the songs “Dazzey Duks” and “Whoomp! (There It Is),” saying it disagreed with the lower court's interpretation of a copyright transfer contract.
