Unisys Software Workers' Case Returns To State Court

Law360, New York (October 27, 2009, 6:26 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has remanded a class action accusing Unisys Corp. of violating California's wage-and-hour laws, ruling that the technology security company could not prove that the amount at issue in the case exceeded $5 million.

Judge Andrew J. Guilford of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California sent the case back to the Superior Court of Orange County, Calif., on Friday based on the defendant's failure to meet the monetary requirement for removal under the Class Action Fairness Act.
