Madoff Accountant To Plead Guilty To Fraud Charges

Law360, New York (October 30, 2009, 2:27 PM EDT) -- The outside auditor to Bernard L. Madoff will plead guilty on Nov. 3 to multiple criminal charges for his role in the jailed fraudster's massive Ponzi scheme, federal prosecutors said Friday.

Accountant David G. Friehling, who waived indictment and pled not guilty in July, has since agreed to cooperate with the government and is expected to enter a guilty plea at a scheduled pretrial conference in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
