Court Approves Examiner In Lyondell Ch. 11

Law360, New York (October 30, 2009, 6:21 PM EDT) -- At the behest of unsecured creditors and the U.S. trustee overseeing the Chapter 11 bankruptcy of Lyondell Chemical Co., an examiner has been appointed by the court to probe certain concerns about Lyondell's actions since it first sought bankruptcy protection earlier in 2009.

Judge Ronald E. Gerber in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York on Friday gave the go-ahead to U.S. Trustee Diana Adams' pick for Chapter 11 examiner, Jack F. Williams.
