US Industry Harmed By Chinese Steel Pipes: ITC

Law360, New York (October 30, 2009, 5:51 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission said Friday that U.S. industry is likely being harmed by imports of seamless carbon and alloy steel standard, line and pressure pipe from China, just weeks after the U.S. Department of Commerce initiated its own anti-dumping and countervailing investigations over SLP pipe imports.

The ITC said there was a “reasonable indication” that domestic manufacturers were being threatened with material injury due to the Chinese imports, which are allegedly subsidized and sold in the United States at less than fair value....
