Panasonic, Toshiba Resolutions End ITC's LED Probe

Law360, New York (November 4, 2009, 2:47 PM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has terminated its investigation into allegations that more than 30 companies infringed a light-emitting diode patent, now that the Columbia University professor who lodged the complaint has reached a resolution with holdouts Toshiba Corp. and Panasonic Corp.

The ITC released two confidential documents on Monday ending its inquiry into claims made by Columbia professor emeritus Gertrude Neumark Rothschild that certain Panasonic and Toshiba products infringed her patent for LED technology.
