EPA Proposes Pesticide Spray Drift Labeling

Law360, New York (November 4, 2009, 4:16 PM EST) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on Wednesday proposed new labeling for pesticides that it says will prohibit spray drift that can cause adverse health and environmental effects.

The new directions will help reduce pesticide use that creates spray and dust drifts — pesticide product that moves away from its intended target — in addition to the current labeling for pesticides that tells users not to spray near workers, the EPA said in a statement.
