UPS Sued Over Health And Welfare Plan Mismanagement

Law360, New York (November 10, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- United Parcel Service Inc. has once again been named in a civil suit involving employment issues.

A suit filed Wednesday in New Jersey federal court claims the package delivery company didn’t contribute enough to its health and welfare plans.

The suit was filed by nine people, including full-time UPS employees, former employees, part-time employees and dependent spouses of employees. All of the employees live and work in New Jersey and are members of the Teamsters Local Union 177, which represents New Jersey employees.
