Video Game Makers Hit With Voice Technology IP Suit

Law360, New York (November 11, 2009, 4:41 PM EST) -- A Texas-based inventor has filed suit against video game makers Ubisoft Inc., Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc., Electronic Arts Inc. and Disney Interactive Studios Inc. for allegedly infringing a patent related to voice recognition technology in video games.

Monica Bareis, through Bareis Technologies LLC, filed suit against the four companies Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, listing more than a dozen video games made by the firms that allegedly infringe the patent.
