Burger King Franchisees Revolt Against Price Order

Law360, New York (November 11, 2009, 3:08 PM EST) -- An organization representing Burger King Corp. franchisees is asking a federal judge to stop the company from forcing franchisees to add the double cheeseburger to their $1 value meal menu.

In a purported class action filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the National Franchisee Association said that Burger King ordered independent outlet owners to price the double cheeseburger at $1 despite franchisees turning down two previous requests by the company to do so.
