Boston Provident CFO Charged With Fraud

Law360, New York (November 12, 2009, 1:36 PM EST) -- Ezra C. Levy, former chief financial officer of New York-based hedge fund Boston Provident LP, has been arrested and charged with financial fraud for allegedly having the firm secretly buy his own securities at inflated prices.

U.S. attorneys filed a criminal complaint against Ezra C. Levy on Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, charging him with wire fraud and securities fraud, according to the docket report in the case.
