Alliant Pension Plan Seeks Sanctions In ERISA Action

Law360, New York (November 12, 2009, 12:23 PM EST) -- An Alliant Energy Corp. pension plan has asked for sanctions against a lawyer for the plaintiffs in a class action alleging that the plan shortchanged participants, claiming that the attorney badgered and berated expert witnesses for the defense while taking their depositions.

The Alliant Energy Cash Balance Pension Plan moved to sanction attorney Eli Gottesdiener on Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin.
