Dairy Farmers Of America Loses Bid To Shield Audits

Law360, New York (November 13, 2009, 7:04 PM EST) -- Dairy farmer and retailer plaintiffs won another skirmish in the discovery war against the Dairy Farmers of America Inc. on Friday, with a judge's ruling granting access to financial audits in the milk industry antitrust lawsuit.

The audits and accompanying correspondence are neither irrelevant to the case nor unduly burdensome for DFA to produce, said Magistrate Judge Dennis H. Inman in his ruling in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee.
