Congressional Shift Dooms Telecom Bill

Law360, New York (November 13, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- While the waves that swept many Republican House and Senate members out of office on Nov. 7 haven’t bogged down AT&T Inc.’s confidence with respect to its proposed merger with Bell South Corp., telecommunications bill H.R. 5252 will likely be scuttled by the recent shift in power.
