Class Counsel Duties Extend Past Judgment: Calif. Court

Law360, New York (November 20, 2009, 3:06 PM EST) -- In an appeal stemming from a $5 million wage-and-hour employment action, a California appeals court has ruled that the class counsel in a class action has a duty to continue serving out its obligations to the class beyond the entry of judgment until all class issues are resolved.
