Medical Transcription Co. ETransplus Faces OT Action

Law360, New York (November 20, 2009, 5:02 PM EST) -- A transcriptionist for eTransplus Inc. has accused the medical transcription company of willfully failing to pay its employees at an overtime rate for time they regularly worked beyond 40 hours a week.

The complaint -- filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas -- seeks to bring a collective action against eTransplus under the Fair Labor Standards Act on behalf of transcriptionists whom the company allegedly compensated per line of typing regardless of how many hours they worked in a week...
