FCC To Tackle 5G Auction, Emerging Tech In March

Law360 (February 23, 2021, 5:31 PM EST) -- The Federal Communications Commission will move next month to auction off more airwaves for commercial 5G use and explore emerging 5G network technologies, acting Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel said Tuesday.

The FCC will vote March 17 on a pair of proposals that would clear the way for 100 MHz of spectrum in the 3.45-3.55 GHz band to be auctioned off to the private sector and assess what the FCC can do to encourage the development of so-called open radio access networks.
