Investor Sues Holland & Knight Over Failed Restaurant

Law360, New York (November 24, 2009, 4:53 PM EST) -- An investor who poured $200,000 into a Chicago restaurant has sued Holland & Knight LLP and a host of other defendants for $3 million, convinced that they helped conceal important facts that ultimately doomed the venture.

Michael Demnicki filed suit Nov. 16 in the Cook County Circuit Court, looking to recoup his investment in the now-defunct De La Costa restaurant, according to Crain’s Chicago Business.
