Starent Settles Shareholder Suit Over Sale To Cisco

Law360, New York (November 30, 2009, 4:11 PM EST) -- Starent Networks Corp. has settled a proposed shareholder class action over its $2.9 billion sale to Cisco Systems Inc. by agreeing to disclose additional information about the deal.

Starent said Friday that it had reached a deal that includes providing additional information to stockholders and paying all of the legal fees and expenses of plaintiffs' counsel, a figure that will be determined by a Delaware Chancery Court judge. The settlement still needs to win court approval.
