DOJ Antitrust Unit To Bring On Freshfields Partner

Law360, New York (November 30, 2009, 3:52 PM EST) -- Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP partner Rachel Brandenburger will join the U.S. Department of Justice's Antitrust Division in January as a special adviser for international matters, the agency said Monday.

Brandenburger, a top-ranked antitrust and regulatory attorney with extensive experience litigating matters before European Commission and U.K. competition authorities, will depart from her post with Freshfields' antitrust, competition and trade group in the firm's London and Brussels offices when she starts with the U.S. competition regulator in 2010.
