Samsung, Sprint Hit With Wireless Navigation IP Suit

Law360, New York (December 1, 2009, 2:14 PM EST) -- Sprint Solutions Inc. and two Samsung Group electronics units have been hit with a patent infringement suit by an inventor who claims the companies stole the idea for wireless navigation systems.

Lodged in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Monday, the suit accuses Sprint, Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd and Samsung Telecommunications America LLC of ignoring inventor Alfred Levine’s rights to two patents related to GPS navigation technology.
