Anthropologie, Forever 21 End Bitter Copyright Feud

Law360, New York (December 1, 2009, 1:00 PM EST) -- Anthropologie Inc. has settled a copyright lawsuit it brought against low-cost retail rival Forever 21 Inc. over nine clothing designs it alleged were virtually identical to Anthropologie garments.

Though attorneys for Anthropologie said the parties were still executing a settlement agreement, Judge Richard J. Sullivan of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York dismissed the complaint with prejudice on Monday.

Anthropologie lead counsel Gregory Paul Gulia of Duane Morris LLP said the terms of the settlement were confidential.
